How do you choose and align yourself with the right real estate team? Whether you’re a new or experienced agent, it’s crucial to identify the critical questions to ask potential business partners. When considering which team to join, here are three fundamental questions to ask:

1. What do they offer in terms of support and resources? Instead of asking your split percentage, focus on the value you can receive. For instance, at our agency, we cover expenses comprehensively, ensuring that your net income is what truly matters. Also, ensure you’re comparing comparable factors. If you’re with a brokerage on a 70/30 split, remember that this ratio applies before accounting for expenses. If you have, let’s say, 10% expenses, your effective split becomes 60/40. When evaluating a high-value team, ensure a direct comparison between the benefits they provide and your current situation.

2. What opportunities do they present? Align your goals with the team’s potential to offer diverse income streams and avenues for growth.
